NHA® Christian Perspective
The Nurtured Heart Approach® from a Christian Perspective highlights how the approaches overall purpose of igniting greatness, building Inner Wealth® and celebrating the spirit that is alive in our children mirrors God’s expectations and commandments of who we are in Christ and how we are called to be in community with one another as children of God. Although not developed based on Christian values and beliefs, as a follower of Christ, I immediately recognized that the values and beliefs I try to live by as a Christian were woven throughout the Nurtured Heart Approach® training as designed by Howard Glasser. I have allowed the Spirit to work through me to add Biblical guidance to the Approach’s intentions and purposes that are sure to inspire every Christian parent to desire this lifestyle transformation of joy and peace within their family.
Natalie believes we as parents have a universal desire, a common goal to raise confident, independent, compassionate followers of Christ who love and serve others and who live out their God-given greatness and purpose. The tools and strategies that NHA provides helps parents do just that.
How does the fundamental purpose & goal behind NHA®
help us live out our roles as Followers of Christ?
When I first learned about NHA® and the intentions and purposes behind the Approach, I instinctively made a deep connection to my walk as a Christian. It not only awakened me to a deeper understanding as to the power and impact my words and actions have on others, but it transformed my perspective on how I see myself, others, circumstances, relationships—life—in such a way that I now live life in a renewed, God-designed way filled with intense purpose and intention to seeing and cultivating greatness all around me. I’m now daily living out my God-given greatness, which is helping me become the best version of myself. The version, I believe, God sees in me and created me to be.
Faith isn’t just something we do or practice on Sundays at church but rather faith is something that becomes the lens for which we view the world and our place in it. The Nurtured Heart Approach® mirrors that concept. What NHA® intends to do is be the way we see and do life, which mirrors the Christian walk. It’s not something we try for six weeks, like the latest diet. With the use of easily designed strategies and tools intended to keep us “in the moment” and see the positive successes in each moment, NHA® brings about the transformation of seeing life through God’s eyes and witnessing, acknowledging, and recognizing the inherent greatness that is present in everyone because of our mighty Creator.
Faith is a journey that takes place from birth to death—it’s a lifelong journey with God and God’s people. Along the way we continue to explore who this amazing God is and the ways God gifts and calls each of us into partnership in the world! Each of us gets to use our gifts and passions to help others grow and form relationships with one another. If part of our role as followers of Christ is to form and nurture relationships, then let me assure you that the Nurtured Heart Approach® gives us the skills, tools and strategies to do just that. NHA® is all about excavating the greatness we see in ourselves and others—the very gifts and purposes we were called to share and be.
The Nurtured Heart Approach® is a beautiful way to do life! Instead of getting caught up in the stress, chaos, confusion, disappointment, and discouragement life can bring, NHA® helps us stay focused on what is still going right in moments when it may seem like everything is going wrong. It breathes peace, joy and freedom instead of chaos, anger and entrapment.

Excellent Training for Bible Camp Counselors
Bible camp is an excellent way for kids to grow in their faith and learn about the love and grace of God. Camp counselors who are hired to work at Bible camps love kids and are passionate about Christ and sharing His message of love and grace to them. However, most counselors, if not all, are not fully equipped to handle campers who display high intense behaviors and attitudes. The Nurtured Heart Approach training from a Christian perspective gives counselors the tools and strategies to proactively nurture the kids in their care as well as lovingly respond to intense behaviors and attitudes that may arise while still celebrating the spirit in them, igniting their divine greatness and helping build their Inner Wealth.
NHA® training has already proven to have a huge benefit to the overall culture at Bible camps and a helpful set of tools to give these young adults. It’s also an incredible way to nurture young hearts and minds through the love and intention of Christ.
